Given the incredible increase in smartphone users as well as the increased number of video clips watched on mobile phones, there has been a significant increase in users watching the Olympic Games (OI) on their mobile devices. What’s more, they prefer to follow that way rather than through TV.

Internet tech portal TechBergains surveyed US users on its website and leading social networks and found that at least one in four of them watched an episode of OI on their phone this summer.
This number is far higher than previous research by Deloitte , which showed that 15% of American Internet users would watch OI on a mobile phone.
Smartphones are also important for OI information. Almost half of the respondents (44%) declared that they were informed through the media often or very often during the Games, and the laptop was the first device for this type of information, smartphones were only 2% behind them.
