SAS Intelligence Tržišna istraživanja doo in cooperation with InBar magazine conducted research on Belgrade cafes this fall.
Cafes in Belgrade, apart from clubs and taverns, represent one of the main tourist attractions that distinguish the Serbian capital in this part of Europe, as the main place of good entertainment. Numerous articles published in domestic and foreign tourism magazines and websites have shown that, when it comes to Belgrade, tourists, in addition to the cultural wealth and beauty of the city itself, especially emphasize the atmosphere in its cafes, restaurants and clubs.

Belgrade cafes are definitely the city’s but also Serbian modern brand. A place where energy is gathered and exchanged, and where the dynamic spirit of Serbia, the cultural uniqueness of the Serbian people and the unique synergy with the guests of Belgrade come to the fore. However, what exactly makes Belgrade coffee shops special and what do Belgraders themselves think about them?
This fall, SAS Intelligence Tržišna istraživanja doo, in cooperation with InBar magazine, conducted research on Belgrade coffee shops. We wanted to find out which Belgrade cafe is the most beautiful, is there a difference in looking at big chains or local cafes? What is the most important thing for a coffee shop to have, and what is a complete surplus? What is the most popular brand of coffee or beer, and which brands are worthy alternatives? Is there a connection between the powerful brands of cars, clothing, cigarettes, and coffee?
Method
We used a random stratified sample of 12 zones in Belgrade (CLT), which included the center, city promenades, populated areas and the periphery. A total of 600 respondents participated in the survey, who visited any Belgrade cafe in the last two months (one screening question in total). The research tool was a survey, and the technique was “PAPI – F2F” (face-to-face interviewing with the help of a paper survey). The survey was specialized for the topic (it was not omnibus) and it concerned exclusively the topic of Belgrade cafes.
